Shared Reflection, Not Therapy
These circles create space for students to reflect on pressure, identity, belonging and expectations while listening to the experiences of others in a calm, guided setting.
Small, student-led conversations where you can pause, reflect, listen, and share experiences with others navigating university life.
A Peer Reflection Circle is a small facilitated group where students reflect together on the realities of university life in a respectful, structured, and emotionally safe environment.
These circles create space for students to reflect on pressure, identity, belonging and expectations while listening to the experiences of others in a calm, guided setting.
Each circle follows a simple structure that keeps conversations grounded, meaningful, and professionally bounded.
Students begin by naming what has been present in their experience.
Participants speak honestly or simply listen without pressure.
Students hear shared perspectives and recognise common struggles.
Each session ends with insight, perspective, or a small next step.
Nyumba Yetu Peer Reflection Circles are built to be psychologically safe, institutionally credible, and clear in their boundaries.
Peer Reflection Circles are not counselling sessions and do not replace professional support services. When deeper support is needed, students should be guided toward appropriate care pathways.
Students often join because they want more than advice. They want space to think, speak honestly, and feel less alone.
Many students discover that others are carrying similar invisible pressures. That moment of recognition can reduce shame, deepen honesty, and create the courage to keep growing.
Peer Reflection Circles are intended for students interested in structured reflection and community-based conversation. Places are intentionally limited so that each circle remains meaningful and well-facilitated.
Begin with the ECQ if you want to reflect more deeply on pressure, identity, belonging, coping, and where you may need support.
If you are looking for a thoughtful, non-clinical space to reflect with other students, you can express interest in a future circle. Participation remains voluntary and places are limited.
Nyumba Yetu Peer Reflection Circles offer structured university student peer support through small-group reflection, belonging, and non-clinical facilitated dialogue.
